Retrofit

Retrofit

Facts:

Remodel of historic space in downtown Colorado Springs, CO for Academy Bank Group. The client presented us with finished plans but the projects was out of budget.

Actions:

We reviewed the plans and did an on-site scope of the space. It was determined that the scope of work included in the plans would not function in the space. We redesigned with the new scope of work.

Results:

We brought the project into budget and completed the work on time. Client expressed thanks for making the project a reality and now understands the value of having Southwind involved before the plans are drawn.

Value:

Southwind saved the client over $70,000 in value engineering and the avoidance of costly repairs of oversights made in the initial design.

In Store

In Store

Facts:

Southwind originally built in-store banks for Wal-Mart with Wal-Mart as the broker. When Wal-Mart discontinued their services, they transferred all contracts to Southwind. In our discussions with the banks we were asked to come up with a new concept, modeled after the Wal-Mart product, but with
clean lines to target the Wal-Mart customer. They also needed cost reductions.

Actions:

Southwind redesigned the bank space and removed many items from the design that were outdated and unusable and put in items that were less costly and served the needs of the bank.

Results:

The banks approved the new designs and used them as their prototypes.

Value:

Southwind reduced the average cost of an in-store by $100,000 and held that pricing over a 4 year period by making small adjustments to the banks approval.

Ground-Up

Ground Up

Results:

The project was brought into budget and the design better fit the clients needs.

Value:

Southwind reduced the overall project by $600,000.
