PRESIDENT
DALE EDWARDS
Dale has been the President for Southwind since its inception in 1996. Involved in commercial construction for over 46 years, he has developed Southwind Group into a customer aware, design/build and commercial construction company. Edwards’ approach has gained exclusive repeat business from organizations such as WalMart, ACE Hardware, Academy/Armed Forces Banks and Fort Sill National Bank
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
SAM CUTBIRTH
Sam has been the Chief Financial Officer since joining in 1999. He is responsible for the financial aspects of the business including banking relations, insurance, bonding, and client development in the retail and banking industries. He currently serves as treasurer for Church of the Heavenly Rest .
Past boards include Just People of Abilene, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and past president of the Abilene Exchange Club. Prior to Southwind, Cutbirth owned and operated Sam C. Cutbirth, PC, a public accounting firm in Abilene with extensive experience in corporate and partnership taxation
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
BRIAN HOVEY
Named the Director of Operations in 2007, Hovey originally joined Southwind in 1998 as the purchasing agent. In 2002, he became a Project Manager. While at Southwind, Hovey developed a nationwide network of vendors and subcontractors, completed over 250 successful projects, and maintains our IT infrastructure. He is certified in AutoCAD and is responsible for construction documentation on all projects.
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER
SCOTT MCCLEARY
Scott came on board to Southwind in 1999, where his responsibilities include oversight and business development. Scott has successfully managed over 250 projects. He is also a qualifying agent for many state licensures. Prior to Southwind, Scott started his career in construction in 1977 as a painter’s helper, and over the years has worked in several different construction divisions.
OFFICE MANAGER
LIZ ISBELL
Liz is in charge of Southwind's accounting department, contractor licensing and Southwind's property management division.
PURCHASING AGENT & AUTOCAD
TRAVIS MATHIS
Since coming to Southwind in 2015, Travis oversees the maintenance and purchasing for all jobs. He works with the nation-wide network of bank managers, vendors and subcontractors. He is AutoCAD certified and assits with architectural drawings for projects. Prior to joining Southwind, he worked in sales, communications and tech support.

DICK BROWN
Dick Brings 50+ years of construction estimating from large industrial work to small commercial remodels. Dick came on board in early 2023 as an advisor for a large religious institution remodel.

JAKE LOMAS
Jake leads our field team of superintendents and subcontractors. He has been with Southwind as a subcontractor for over 25 years and we are happy he has joined the team in 2017! Jake understands the quality products and services Southwind strives to deliver and expects nothing less from our team of superintendents and subcontractors.

Sheri manages the day to day project invoicing and accounts payable. Sheri joined Southwind in 2023

JOHNNY BALDWIN
Johnny has been with Southwind since 2015 and is a lead working superintendent for Southwind's bank building division.

WALKER RAINEY
Walker is one of Southwinds field superintendents and has worked in the construction industry for 10+ years. Walker earned his Bachelors degree in construction engineering from Texas Tech University in 2020

STEVE HENRY
Steve has been a superintendent with Southwind since 2016 and has overseen multiple commercial remodel projects including the Academy Bank Corporate offices in downtown Kansas City, MO
SUPERINTENDENT
JULIO CORONADO
Julio came on board with Southwind in 2024. He has extensive experience in large civil projects in Panama and South America. He is setting roots in Texas and has been training with Johnny Balwin on banking projects the first half of 2024 and is presently working with Jake Lomas on medical building remodel construction.

PARKER HENRY
Parker has been a superintendent with Southwind since 2016 specializing in tenant finish / remodel construction.

MATTHEW BALDWIN
Matthew has been with Southwind 15+ years and has completed dozens of commercial remodels and new construction build outs. Matthew is also in charge of facilities maintenance for Southwind's Kansas City region.

SKYLER CALZADA
Skyler has been with Southwind 5+ years and has completed many in store commercial bank remodels. Skyler is now training and supervising skilled carpenters and casework fabricators for Southwinds in store banking program.
